Accessibility

Experiencing nature for everyone

Our nature experiences should be accessible and enjoyable for everyone. That is why we place great importance on ensuring our activities are accessible and on continuously improving them.

Walks

The ‘Moorlehrpfad’ walking route is designed so that it can be easily accessed with a pushchair or wheelchair. The path is flat and has no significant inclines. One particular section, the ‘Prügelsteg’, is fitted with a ramp and is therefore also easily accessible. This ensures that the nature experience is open to as many people as possible. Our guided tours and programmes for schools and nurseries can also be organised exclusively on accessible routes if required.

Moor Nature Trail – Knowledge accessible to all

The content of the Moor Nature Trail can also be experienced via a free audio guide – in German, Czech and also in plain language. The guide can be easily downloaded to your own smartphone via the Nature Park Centre’s Wi-Fi network and then used offline. This ensures that information is easily accessible, regardless of individual needs.

Nature Park Centre and Sun Terrace

The Nature Park Centre itself is also designed to be accessible. It has a disabled toilet and is easily accessible from the car park – which also has designated disabled parking spaces – via a tarmac path just 30 metres away. The sun terrace invites all visitors to enjoy nature in a pleasant atmosphere.

Our commitment

For us, accessibility is not a static state but an ongoing process. That is why we are constantly working to improve existing facilities and create new opportunities for an inclusive experience of nature. As a next step, we are aiming for certification by the ÖZIV (Federal Association for People with Disabilities) to further strengthen quality and development in this area.

Umgeben von üppigem Grün und dem sanften Licht der Sonne strahlt die Szenerie eine einladende und entspannende Atmosphäre aus, die zum Verweilen einlädt.

Mobility in the Nature Park

Respect for nature and people

To protect nature and ensure a safe and peaceful experience for all visitors, clear rules apply in the nature park:

The footpaths are reserved exclusively for walking.

Cycling, e-bikes, roller skates, skateboards or similar means of transport are not permitted on the paths, nor is horseriding.

Motor vehicles are also prohibited throughout the entire site – with the exception of the car park. However, during maintenance or inspection work, staff from the Nature Park Association may need to use vehicles on the paths; we ask for your understanding.

We ask that you park your bicycles in the designated parking areas at the Nature Park Centre and then explore the nature park on foot.

Walking and Nordic walking are, of course, permitted. However, we ask that you show consideration for one another so that all visitors can enjoy nature at their own pace.

These measures help to protect the sensitive natural environment whilst ensuring harmonious coexistence within the nature park.
