At the Nature Park Centre, you’ll find a wide selection of local products and specialities; in this way, we support the region’s ongoing development and thereby strengthen the nature park’s positive image. We have numerous partnerships with local businesses (restaurants, accommodation providers, excursion destinations) to expand the range of activities on offer in the region. The Nature Park provides impetus for the development of destination-based offerings, and we create local jobs. The Nature Park sees one of its key tasks as combining tourism and local recreation whilst balancing this with nature conservation, thereby strengthening the region. A key partner for us in this regard is Destination Waldviertel GmbH, with whom we maintain a lively exchange of ideas. Synergies with other nature parks such as Nordwald, Geras and Dobersberg, and with various tourist attractions such as the Waldviertel Narrow-Gauge Railway Association and Heidenreichstein Water Castle, are utilised and continuously expanded.
