Just outside the centre of Heidenreichstein lies the Heidenreichsteiner Moor Nature Reserve, featuring extensive areas of bog woodland and an open bog landscape that can be explored from the boardwalk. If you keep your eyes peeled, you’ll spot rare bog plants from here, such as the carnivorous sundew and the fairy-tale-like cotton grass. Accessible walking trails and a variety of guided tours invite you to experience the fascinating bog habitat up close. At the nature park centre, you can enjoy homemade pastries and regional specialities.
