No, the nature park and the walking trails are freely accessible. Whilst you can use our walking trails and facilities free of charge, we would be grateful for any donations towards the upkeep of the nature park or for you to become a supporting member of the Nature Park Association.

The only charges apply to guided tours led by our nature guides.

At the Nature Park Centre, you’ll find a cosy café serving homemade pastries and light meals, such as Waldviertel cabbage strudel, baked pancakes and other delicacies.

Please note that the toilet facilities at the Nature Park Centre are for visitors only and are not accessible outside opening hours.

Yes. The Nature Park Centre and the bog nature trail, including the boardwalk, are accessible on foot or by vehicle. The walking trails consist of paved forest tracks with a sandy surface. The total length of the route is approximately 3 km.

Yes, dogs are generally allowed. However, they must be kept on a lead throughout the entire site and in the Nature Park Centre.

The nature park is well worth a visit in (almost) any weather*, as a walk can be enjoyable even in the rain if you have the right kit. The route follows paved paths that are easy to walk on even in wet weather.

We recommend waterproof shoes, as well as a rain jacket and an umbrella. Rain ponchos can be purchased at the Nature Park Centre during opening hours. After your walk, you’ll also find hot drinks and homemade pastries there to warm you up and enjoy.

*In the event of a thunderstorm or Sturm, visiting the nature park is strongly discouraged.
