Nature Park Centre

An economical building

The Nature Park Centre, which was be completed in 2012, focuses on economy in all areas. We look forward to your visit.

Information centre

The Nature Park Centre is the starting point for all individual guests, groups and guided tours. Here you will find all the necessary information about the Nature Park, as well as multilingual, free hiking maps. In case the Nature Park Centre is closed, plans are available for free collection at the building next to the donation boxes. Of course we are very happy about any donation.

Food service

A special treat are the homemade pastries, which you can enjoy on our beautiful sun terrace with a good view of the playground and a hot coffee. But of course we also offer home-style cooking like Schnitzel with potato salad, cabbage strudel with chive sauce and various snacks. After a nice hike through the Nature Park you can end a wonderful day with some fresh-draught beer from the Schrems brewery.

Shop

A well-assorted shop with many local products, souvenirs offers something suitable for every guest. We also have a wide range of books for children and adults.

Playground

The nature-orientated children's playground, which can be overlooked from our sun terrace, impresses with its diversity. A flying fox, swings, slide, balancing course, stilt course, sandpit, snack garden, labyrinth, 2 play hills and much more offer variety and fun. We expressly point out that - in the interest of the children - dogs are not allowed on the playground.

Seminar room

In the seminar room, which can accommodate a maximum of 80 people, you will find everything you need for a seminar, workshop, lecture and the like. We can provide you with a UHD beamer, a large sound system with mixing desk, radio microphone, flipcharts, etc. for your event. The room is mainly used for private birthday parties, weddings etc. Due to the large number of enquiries we kindly ask you to contact us in good time. You can find details of the procedure and prices as a download below.

Accessibility

The Nature Park Centre is barrier-free and wheelchair-accessible, a disabled WC is available. A certification by the ÖZIV is currently in progress.

Energy

The building is constructed of 40cm thick walls, is very well insulated and largely self-sufficient in terms of energy. On the roof there is a 6.76 kWp photovoltaic system, heated by a heat pump in combination with surface collectors. A house well is used to supply water for sanitary installations and external pipes.
